Mothers Craft Eco Printing Bag Workshop

This workshop will begin with a morning spent exploring the garden and foraging for plants to make beautiful eco print patterns on cotton. The fabric will be mordanted so the prints will be everlasting. You will learn some tips and tricks about which plants make good prints and some methods to achieve a good print. This is a basic exploration of eco printing using the hammering printing technique. You will get to take home a few plants to start your own backyard eco printing garden.

The middle part of the day will be spent enjoying a nourishing meal, enjoying the view and some time for a grounding sit spot meditation in nature (weather permitting).

The afternoon will be spent sewing your own patchwork bag using some of the eco printed fabric. Sharn from Make and Mend NZ is an amazing teacher. Some basic sewing experience is helpful but not essential…
